2011 Farm Progress Show… What’s Not To “Like?”
For the latest and greatest in agriculture, it’s hard to beat the Farm Progress Show. And the 2011 event was no exception. Held in Decatur IL August 30 – September 1, thousands of enthusiastic farmers, students, industry professionals and international visitors came from all over the globe to participate in the industry’s foremost agricultural experience.
Featuring the most up-to-the-minute products in equipment, farm structures, technology, seed and ag-related services of all kinds, the Farm Progress Show has earned a reputation for being the “World’s Fair of Agriculture” for 58 years in a row. Ag Leader had the privilege of exhibiting at this show, unveiling a new concrete floor put in place just this spring, a reflection of Ag Leader’s continued commitment to the Farm Progress Show. Mike Olson, Sales Manager, said he was pleased with the benefits already.
“The concrete floor adds to the clean, professional look of our booth—rain or shine,” Olson said. “In addition, the tent was much cooler than it has been in year’s past—a real bonus considering the 103-degree temperatures the last day of the show.”
Ag Leader’s Sales and Tech Support personnel were on hand to demonstrate many Ag Leader products, from the powerful Ag Leader® Integra display to the innovative OptRx™ crop sensor. Check out this video of Chad Huedepohl, DirectCommand Sales Manager, demonstrating the OptRx crop sensors at the show. While the main purpose of the Farm Progress Show is to offer agriculture companies the opportunity to showcase their products to qualified buyers, it’s also an event where attendees can come to learn about the most innovative farming practices through participation in educational seminars, meaningful discussions with exhibitors and working field demonstrations.
And if you were one of many who visited the Ag Leader booth, you also had the opportunity to get interactive by going online to visit Ag Leader’s Facebook page. Those attendees who “liked” the Ag Leader page and filled out a short survey received an “I Like Ag Leader” T-shirt.
