Ag Leader to showcase its latest innovations at the 2023 Farm Progress Show

Ag Leader will be showcasing the latest in precision ag technology including RightSpot™ and TurnPath™ in booth 518 (starred on the map below). Live demonstrations of RightSpot and TurnPath will also take place in booth 4 in the Ride ‘n Drive Autonomy Zone.

What is RightSpot?

RightSpot monitors and maintains the right droplet size prescribed for the product, ensuring the right amount is applied, so the product can do its job effectively while reducing the risk of drift.

“Our farm is surrounded by a lot of houses, and people always seem to want to put their gardens right beside a field,” says Denny Corey, Corey Farms in Linden, Michigan. “So, I’ve always been cautious and sprayed at least two feet away from the edge of the field.”

When he learned about RightSpot, he thought the technology would be a good fit for the operation. In 2023, RightSpot was installed on his John Deere 4830 sprayer. Yet, Corey admits that when he uses a technology for the first time, he tends to think it’s not going to live up to what a company says it is going to do.

“So, I sprayed the same way I always have as far as the distance from the edge of the field,” he says. “When I checked on the field that had been sprayed with RightSpot, I noticed there wasn’t any drift because there were still strips of rye along the edge of the field where I hadn’t sprayed. RightSpot performed exactly the way it was supposed to.”

What is TurnPath?

TurnPath eliminates the guesswork and reduces the stress associated with end-row turns by generating an automatic guidance line at the end of each pass for repeatable end-row turns.

“From the very beginning, our goal was to do what Ag Leader does best – create a high-quality product that works seamlessly across your entire fleet,” says Mans Vossebeld, Ag Leader Product Specialist. “Trust is a key characteristic of a steering system, and it must perform consistently. TurnPath has been tested in a wide array of farming practices across four continents, so you can trust that it just works.”

He adds that it is clear TurnPath is making an impression on how farmers steer their equipment.

“After running this feature, they don’t want to steer without it,” Vossebeld says.

TurnPath will be available for SteadySteer or SteerCommand Z2 in November 2023.
